Isaac Wood will return to the stage later this year as a "very special guest" on Phoebe Bridgers' upcoming European leg of her new tour, “The Lost Tour.”

For many fans, it will be the first time seeing Wood perform since he left Black Country, New Road in January 2022. He departed just days before the release of their indie masterpiece, Ants From Up There, citing mental health struggles and the pressure of touring.
Since then, Wood has rarely made any public appearances, while Black Country, New Road moved forward without him. The band chose not to perform songs from his time in the group and instead built a completely new live show, touring around the same time as Wood.
Still, no details have been shared about what songs he plans to perform or whether these shows are connected to a larger project. However, Wood did note on Instagram that he won't be performing alone. In a comment beneath the announcement, he said the shows will feature a full band alongside his domestic partner, Anaïs Meir.
For now, the news leaves more questions than answers. But after several years away from live performance, Isaac Wood is set to return to the stage.
