My Chemical Romance was a staple of many listeners' music tastes growing up, with music videos like "Na Na Na," "Helena," and "Welcome to the Black Parade" leaving lasting impressions. After MCR broke up, fans were devastated thinking there would be no more new music and that they would remain radio silent forever. However, fans were thrilled to be proven wrong. After nearly 20 years, My Chemical Romance brought back The Black Parade with a new tour—revitalizing old songs and playing the album in full for the first time since 2007. The tour was a resounding success, and fans loved hearing deep cuts that hadn’t been played live in years, such as "Demolition Lovers," "Bury Me in Black," "My Way Home Is Through You," and "Jack the Ripper." Following the tour, MCR re-released The Black Parade as a deluxe edition on CD, vinyl, and cassette.

This new release of The Black Parade consists of 20 tracks, including six bonus tracks. Three of these bonus tracks are from The Black Parade: The B-Sides (2009), while the other three are live performances from The Black Parade World Tour in 2007. The three B-sides are "Heaven Help Us," "Kill All Your Friends," and "My Way Home Is Through You." One of the newly included live tracks is "Someone Out There Loves You," which fans had known as "Stay" for many years. Though the song had never been officially released until now, fans adore it and have wished for its official release for years. Adding a previously unreleased song resonated strongly with the fanbase and reignited hope for a brand-new album.

Although many people loved the tour and the re-release, some fans criticized My Chemical Romance for being "sellouts," even quoting their own song "Disenchanted": "So I could watch all my heroes sell a car on TV." Yet, the backlash MCR faced hasn't stopped them from doing what they love, and they continue to perform the songs into which they put their blood, sweat, and tears. On The Black Parade tour, My Chemical Romance surprised many by teasing the possibility of new material. Gerard Way announcing that the MCRmy "deserves a new album" was a fantastic way to boost fans' spirits. Through all the ups and downs, My Chemical Romance continues to perform and satisfy their audience. From reviving songs unplayed for decades to officially releasing long-lost fan favorites, they do it all so that their memory will carry on.
