Black Veil Brides Bring Their Ceremony to Orlando’s House of Blues

On Wednesday at Disney Springs in Orlando, Black Veil Brides took the stage and transformed the House of Blues into a home of rock, power, and electrifying energy, creating an unforgettable night for everyone in attendance.

Before the main event, Autumn Kings delivered a show to remember. The Canadian band walked onto the House of Blues stage with high expectations and somehow managed to break through the ceiling. With vocalist Joe Coccimiglio commanding the crowd from the opening minutes, the band brought raw energy powered by thunderous drums, insane guitar riffs, and impressive vocals, especially during “BECOME NUMB.” Their constant interaction with the audience quickly transformed the floor into an ocean of headbangers and raised hands, making it clear there were no warm-ups; we were jumping straight into the night.

The energy only continued to rise throughout the rest of the set. Autumn Kings used the moment to promote their new material and, before performing the unreleased “Only Human,” asked the entire House of Blues to jump together. Between new songs, crowd interaction, and an impossible-to-ignore stage presence, the band finished its performance on a high note, leaving the audience fully energized and raising expectations considerably for the rest of the night.

Soon after, Archers took the stage without allowing the energy to drop. The intensity quickly increased, with a small mosh pit forming in the middle of the floor, crowd surfers beginning to emerge, and the band pushing the audience into a wall of death. At the end of the set, even the setlist became part of the show when it was folded into a paper airplane and thrown into the crowd, bringing a short set to an end while raising the bar even higher inside a sold-out House of Blues.

With the crowd anxious and ready for the headliner, British band Caskets took the

stage for one final performance before Black Veil Brides. Led by Matt Flood’s incredible vocals, they left the audience more than ready for the final act. During the performance, Matt shouted, “You do what I fucking tell you,” while calling for the second wall of death of the night. With that, the third, but not final, set of the evening came to an end.

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for. Headliner Black Veil Brides took the stage and delivered exactly what had been promised. After the first song, “Knives and Pens,” frontman Andy Biersack had a funny interaction with a fan when he tried to trade the setlist paper for a plastic light-up flamingo. Andy actually took the flamingo but refused to give up the setlist because it was only the first song of the set. After that, they jumped straight into “Bleeders,” and the entire venue erupted with excited screams.

Between songs, the concert practically turned into a comedy show. Andy tried to understand the completely incomprehensible things fans were shouting, reacted to people barking from the crowd, and joked about almost anything that appeared onstage. At one point, someone threw a “Mothman” toward him, and after barely even trying to catch it, Andy simply responded, “I wasn’t ready.”

The connection with the audience only grew as the night continued. There was even a “Happy Birthday” moment for bassist Lonny Eagleton, ironic as it was, in fact, not his birthday. Andy continued turning the breaks between songs into comedy, from struggling to understand what fans were yelling to joking about the band playing Rockville before admitting that he probably should not confirm anything and risk making Danny Wimmer angry.

With amazing performances of “Certainty,” “Wake Up,” “Alive,” and other iconic tracks from their phenomenal discography, they made the House of Blues a chapel for their ceremony. With mosh pits, crowd surfers, and an ocean of headbangers, it was noticeable that everyone was having a great time.

The final stretch of the night also brought a special moment when Lilith Czar, Andy’s wife, joined the band onstage for “Cut,” a song that had never previously been performed in the United States. After that, the night ended with a chorus from a sold-out venue singing “In the End,” bringing a beautiful night to a close.
