Toronto got soaked, but not a soul seemed to care. On August 24, 2025, Oasis returned to Canada for the first time since their messy split, playing to a packed Rogers Stadium in the middle of a pounding rainstorm. Fans in ponchos and drenched t-shirts sang along from the very first note as Noel and Liam Gallagher walked on stage together, a sight many thought they’d never see again. The brothers kicked things off with “Hello,” with the fitting phrase "it's good to be back".

Before this legendary reunion, Cage the Elephant made a striking debut as the opening act for Oasis. The band expressed their gratitude with a brief speech, acknowledging the significant influence the Manchester band had on the group from Kentucky. Introducing themselves to the tour was effortless, as they played their unforgettable hits that had the entire audience singing along. Guitarist Brad Schultz added humor to the performance with a botched guitar switch when his guitar tech failed to catch the instrument he tossed. Later, he showcased his replaceable guitar again by smashing it down and handing it's remains to a fan in the audience.

Everyone was singing at the top of their lungs, and the rain didn’t stop a single person. If anything, it made the whole thing even more unforgettable, like Manchester followed the band to Toronto. You could feel the energy bouncing around the crowd, thousands of voices carrying the songs together, strangers turning into friends just by sharing the moment.

When “Champagne Supernova” finally came to a close, the roar that followed was deafening. People were clapping, shouting, hugging; like nobody wanted it to end. Liam Gallagher gave his thanks, and it didn’t feel like some rehearsed line; you could tell he meant every word. The connection between the band and the fans was real. It wasn’t just any concert, it felt like everyone was part of something bigger, something you’ll look back on years from now and still get chills. Nights like this don’t come around often, and everyone there knew it.
